I’ve always subscribed to the philosophy that the worst vacation is better than the best day at work. Yet there are times when the pain, embarassment or discomfort reaches a tipping point. Maybe it’s being kidnapped by Zulus, or a ride on the food poisoning carousel, or the day someone walks off with your purse and all it holds – passport, wallet, phone, camera…..and yes, these examples come from personal experience (except the Zulus–though I know someone that happened to!). But maybe your “Vacation Photo Fail” leans more toward bad hair, regrettable Zubaz, or wine-induced clumsiness that leads to the bottom of a water fountain. Maybe, like Rollerbag Mister, a pirate approached you in Las Vegas, asked you to hold his parrot, proceeded to take your picture and then charged you for money for it. We’ve all been there. It is often at that point that we start dreaming of being home, in our comfy clothes, nose down in a pint of Ben and Jer’s, “Long Island Medium” on the tube.
That tipping point – that’s the moment. That’s money. Because if it’s funny, and you caught it on camera, you could win $1K!

Disney Fail: went with my sister and her family to Disney. As my sister is on a ride with her 4 yr old I’m with the two yr old who is having a melt down lying on the ground kicking and screaming. She’s also in one of those kid leashes so she can’t run away. People are looking at me like im a horrible parent! If only I could have run away!! Miserable trip to Disney. Never take a two year old to Disney! My niece is now 14 and we are going to NY in Aug. I’m hoping there are no melt downs!

Europe travel Fail: we were unable to land our plane in London because of the fog so we fly to Ireland or Scotland can’t remember we fly around and then end up having to land because they ran out of gas. So that adds another two hours to our flight and we miss our connecting flight to go to Scotland. So we end up having to pay for a train to take us from London to Scotland. Train was 6 hours long so at that point we had been traveling almost 14 hours and that was also with a 4 month old baby! It was a very long day of travel but at least we got to see a beautiful part of the country which we wouldn’t have seen by plane.
