Mini Vacay: A New York Minute

How about a mini vacation in New York? At 1:15, it’s a bit more than a minute, and heaps longer than a New York minute!
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Times Square in Midtown Manhattan for today’s mini getaway. While you’re here, buy yourself a ticket to a Broadway show; take in the lights; soak up the excitement; and take in the ultimate in people watching.
On a typical day you can hardly fight your way through the crowds–it is, after all, one of the world’s busiest pedestiran intersections, bringing in 39 million visitors a year–but today the tourists are sparse, the sidewalks are wide, the sun is shining, and there’s a pretzel cart at the end of your journey. Don’t even attempt this walk on New Year’s Eve, when millions flood Times Square to watch the ball drop and welcome in the new year.
When the crowds overwhelm, remember that you can easily hop the B train to Park Slope for a restorative journey through the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
