You’ll want to turn down the volume for this video.
Here we take a scenic three minute drive through Shoshone River Canyon, west of Cody, Wyoming. Our drive includes some stunning geography, a trip through mountain tunnels and a quick look at the Buffalo Bill Dam area.
The Shoshone River winds through Wyoming for 100 miles, with its headwaters in the Absaroka Range in the Shoshone National Forest. Look for a post this week about reforestation efforts in this area.
The Buffalo Bill Dam is part of one of the first water conservation efforts in the United States: the Shoshone Project.
