Chico, California is home to the National Yo-Yo Museum, a yo-yo lover’s world of wonders, that even the mildly curious can visit for no charge. Located downtown in a store called “Bird in Hand,” the National Yo-Yo Museum offers a quick look at yo-yo’s throughout history, knowledgeable staff and yo-yo enthusiasts practicing their sport.
It is also home to the World’s Largest Yo-Yo. Does this yo-yo make my butt look big?
The museum hosts the national yo-yo competition every October, and has the largest collection of yo-yo memorabilia in the nation, including the earliest models of yo-yo’s, dating back to the 1930s.
The museum is open 10-6, Monday through Friday and 12-5 on Sundays.
