Road Trip to Beautiful Sedona
RollerbagMom and I have decided to take a last minute weekend trip to Sedona. It’s less than a four-hour drive from Tucson, so it’s an ideal escape for a girls’ weekend.
This will be my third time in Sedona: once with BackpackMr, where we explored one of the famous vortexes to see if we could “feel” anything. (We think we did.) And once with my sister’s family, as they took a road trip to and from the Grand Canyon to Tucson.

Breathtaking Arizona Scenery
The approach is unbelievable, and a bit hair-raising, if you’re a nervous passenger on scenic drives. (Which begs a question: why DO scenic drives always seem to be the white-knuckle variety?) Enter Sedona at sunset and you’ll be treated to blood-red rock formations and a sense that you’re driving through a deep canyon. It’s profound.
In my experience, Sedona is breathtakingly beautiful, and an awesome place to hike and explore. Mom and I do not plan to go hiking…unless you’re talking urban hiking. The kind that includes great coffee shops and cute restaurants with awesome food. Oh, and shopping. I just love rock shops!

It’s all about the views in Sedona
We’ve booked a hotel with a patio and mountain views, and I can’t wait to wake up to the beauty that is Sedona.

We’re open to suggestions! What do you recommend we see and do in Sedona, Arizona?
