Cafe Regular du Nord is one of the littlest coffee shops you’ll ever enter. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm. Found on 7th Avenue in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, it’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee and an almond croissant, which you won’t want to miss. I suggest you go early, before they run out.

Sit indoors and with just 400 square feet of space, you’ll feel like you’re on each other’s laps, but that’s part of the beauty of the place. The cafe is so small the installed stool seats fold down to make room for customers to stand in line and mill about. On busy mornings, you’ll feel guilty for opening the paper.
Of course, when the weather is lovely, you can sit outdoors and you’ll have your own bistro table with a steady supply of excellent people watching.

The atmosphere is so Parisienne, should random charming men approach with their sweet little dogs you can feel free to act aloof and disinterested…unless, of course, you don’t want to. If that’s the case, you may want to carry around a preprinted stack of papers with your digits on them, so you can oh-so-casually flip your hair, sip your cappuccino and slide one across the table.
But no matter how cute he is, he’d better not even think of stealing a bite of that almond croissant.
