La Crescent, Minnesota boast 17 miles of scenic apple blossoms
Right around Mother’s Day every year, Apple Blossom Drive in La Crescent, Minnesota earns its name. It’s absolutely stunning, and a great way to enjoy the onset of spring in Minnesota.
The 17-mile scenic byway offers panoramic beauty and easy pullouts from the roadway for snapping photos.

For those unfamiliar with Apple Blossom Drive, the road winds by the Mississippi River, through farmland and countryside and up the area’s commanding bluffs, to offer scenic overlooks and close encounters of the apple tree kind.
This drive alone illustrates why La Crescent has been dubbed the “Apple Capital of Minnesota.”

La Crescent’s unique topography, emblematic of the “Driftless Region,” as well as its weather, make it ideal for feeding our nation’s hunger for apples.
Hopefully these photos of juicy blooms will pacify us until the apples are ripe and ready to enjoy this fall.
